NEC INTERDENOMINATIONAL WOMENS FELLOWSHIP
The NEC Women’s
Fellowship has been in existence for nearly 31 years. It was formed by a
group of Christian ladies from all walks of life and is today truly
international and interdenominational in character and spirit. We
believe in the statement of purpose which says, the Women’s Fellowship
exists for the following two reasons:
- As a Christian
outreach group
- As a
fellowship group to build up and encourage sisters in Christ
The ladies meet on
Tuesday mornings at 09.15 hrs in the NEC Education Building. On the
first Tuesday of every month we visit the Geriatric hospital in Muharraq,
and on the second and third Tuesdays of the month we have a time of
bible study.
We collect good second
hand clothing, toys, book and house hold articles from generous donors
and these are sold through the Gulf Thrift Shop, and the money is being
used for local charity.
Some of the meetings
are secular, and include visits and outings where non Christians are
able to participate and build genuine friendship.
Whenever Christian
groups or missionaries visit Bahrain special meeting are organized for
the ladies by the fellowship.
The annual Christmas
luncheon is a much awaited event for most of the ladies in Bahrain.
Ladies are welcome to
join us for any or all of our activities and you are assured a warm
welcome.
