The English Language Congregation, part of the National Evangelical Church in Bahrain, traces its history to the beginning of the twentieth century when missionaries from the Reformed Church of America laid the foundation of the first protestant church in the Arabian Gulf. For nearly a century now, Christians from all over the world worship together and congregate as one body of believers united in faith, love and spirit. The ethnic diversity of the congregation remains an apt reminder of how it will be when we all stand in the presence of the Almighty God.
